The Spanish government has said it will welcome holidaymakers to visit the Canary and Balaeric Islands from May as long as they have a negative test.
Similarly Portugal’s tourism minister Rita Marques hoped the country would soon allow restriction free travel for those testing negative or who have been vaccinated.
It comes after Cyprus just announced it would accept British tourists from May 1 if they have had both vaccine shots. It is expected Greece and Turkey will be announcing similar plans shortly.
As it stands on Boris’ roadmap out of lockdown – international travel will not be allowed before May 17th.
Major airlines are currently working on developing a Travel Pass app which can include a traveller’s vaccine or Covid 19 test result through industry body IATA.
