A whole host of celebrities and top Surrey fashion boutiques are uniting for ‘Surrey Fashion Week 2022’ on Friday 30thSeptember at Great Fosters in Egham.
Already signed up to walk the celebrity catwalk, in aid of mental health charity Mind and the NHS, are ‘S Club 7’ singer Jo O’ Meara, ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Amelia Mist, ‘EastEnders’ & ‘Hollyoaks’ actor Matt LaPinskas, ‘Big Brother’ winner Jason Burrill, ‘Celebs Go Dating’ presenter Nadia Essex and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ choreographers Maria Tsiatsiani & Leandro Palou – who will open the show with a choreographed dance act made especially for the night!
This year, the theme for Surrey Fashion Week 2022 is “Mental Health and the Importance of Diversity and Inclusivity”, making fashion and modelling accessible for all.
With this in mind, we have secured stars including 2-time Paralympian Louise Hunt (modelling in her wheelchair), former Miss Great Britain and Miss World star Kathleen Righton (now 77), and Victoria Featherstone Pearce, ‘Vegan Author and founder of dog charity K9’, among our eclectic mix of famous faces to appear on the glittering runway.

As well as raising funds for the NHS and Mind, we are showcasing the true talent behind the best of our amazing independent Surrey fashion scene with only the top boutiques and brands taking part in SFW. These pioneering fashion enterprises make the high street what it is today. They are at the cutting-edge of fashion and their collections regularly make the ‘Best Dressed Lists’ at red carpet events with headlines to boot.
Similarly, in more low-key situations, women everywhere look effortlessly stylish and chic at their local village fête or on school run in these inclusive fashion boutiques’ clothing.
Our participating fashion brands pledge to only supply good quality, good value clothing that gets reworn again and again, thus making it truly sustainable.
Is it not finally time to say “no” to fast fashion and unethical brands?
And say “yes” to support local and all the fantastic fashion our local Surrey boutiques and brands have to offer?
We have the cream of the crop appearing at Surrey Fashion Week, including Ruby La La Boutique in Farnham, Nettie Knows in Weybridge, Jules Boutique in Oxted, Rosella Style in Thames Ditton, Lonesome in Horley – among a plethora of others to be announced shortly.
We also have top jewellery brands, including Lady Haversham Jewels, milliners, kidswear, pre-loved and footwear brands showcasing their wares at this all-inclusive show.
More details will be announced next week on the “Full Surrey Shopping Experience” happening at SFW 2022. We’ll have a whole dedicated fashion store set up in the large, stunning Orangery located next to our SFW Catwalk Show at Great Fosters’ historic Tithe Barn where the show will take place, so not only can you see the fashion on the catwalks – you can buy it here from our SFW Shopping Experience too!
ORDER OF EVENTS
The doors will open to SFW 2022 from 6pm with a welcome cocktail reception and chance to enjoy the fabulous shopping experience.
There will also be a range of delicious food and drink on offer at SFW too. The Great Fosters Estate (part of the famous Alexander Hotel Group) pride themselves in serving the best cuisine and their spread for you gorgeous SFW attendees will be second to none. There will also be a range of artisan drinks producers, including Surrey Vineyards tantalising you with their produce. Make sure you have a designated driver or use our prestige chauffeur service!
The “Celebrity Runway Practices” (let’s hope there will be no slip-ups, Naomi Campbell and her killer heel style!) will run earlier in the day so you can get to mingle with the glam, made-up celebs who would have already done their fittings, run-throughs, hair and make-up and interviews with press backstage before you arrive.
This a great new addition to the celeb VIP experience as you can mingle with the stars under the stars from our show start time!
Plus, all the celebs involved will get to choose an outfit they like best from the collections on show to wear for the early part of the evening – so meet them, find out why their dress (or suit for the guys) made the cut! This is also a great opportunity to meet the designers and boutique owners behind the brands, (they’re all great fun!) and, most importantly, have the best time possible while supporting our charities and local fashion.
Just remember at 8.30pm you will be politely ushered to your seats for the big SFW celebrity catwalk fashion show to commence from 8.45pm! Music will be provided by Ministry of Sound and Blue Marlin Ibiza DJ’s The Mitchell Brothers of current ‘Love Puppy’ fame. Comparing will be from Sky Sports Presenter Bryn Lucas and Strictly’s Maria Tsiatsiani, who will also be modelling.
There will be an interval and performances from top Surrey singers, including Cassa Jackson, who recently toured with JLS. We’re also proud to be partnering with Miss Tolerance International, which champions the importance of tolerance in life. They will be showcasing a few of our fabulous participating designers at their glittering Gala Awards Final at ‘Proud Cabaret’ in central London the Sunday before our show. Surrey Fashion Week co-founders Angela and Earl will be on their judging panel and the two Miss Tolerance UK winners will walk our SFW runway! Plus, for all our younger audiences out there Tik Tok sensation Danzworld will be making an appearance to strut his stuff in the latest menswear from designers such as Howard & Co.
When the catwalk show finishes, you’ll be able to rub shoulders with stars at the bar, and buy more fabulous fashion in the Orangery Surrey Shopping Experience, before having a good old boogie on the dancefloor till the event finishes at midnight.
SILENT AUCTION 4 FASHION
Proceeds from our ‘Celebrity Silent Auction Fundraising’ will also go directly to our participating local fashion boutiques – split equally between them. We all know with energy price hikes happening in October they may well feel the pinch more than most with the rising costs of living. Who wants another Starbucks in the High Street? Not us.
In addition to donating profits from ticket sales to our chosen charities of the NHS and Mind, this fundraising silent auction will include ‘money-can’t-buy’ celebrity experiences and prizes.
At last year’s event (held at the De Vere Hotel in East Horsley) there was a theme of sustainability and the accompanying silent auction was held in aid of Vivienne Westwood’s charity Cool Earth. ‘A Place in the Sun’ presenter Laura Hamilton kindly donated ‘Afternoon Tea with Laura’ at her Surrey-based restaurant, while celebrity chef Aldo Zilli offered a fantastic prize of a one-to-one masterclass with himself at his Surrey home & ‘5-star neighbourhood kitchen’ Casa Zilli. The auction also featured a tour for four at Silent Pool Gin’s sustainable distillery in the Surrey Hills, plus hampers and sustainable offerings from small local businesses to help raise awareness of them post the pandemic and assist them on their road to recovery.
This year’s prizes are set to be a bigger and better than ever, including fashion giveaways, experiential events, spa days, an overnight stay at magnificent Great Fosters and dinner for two at top Surrey restaurants. There’s even an exciting holiday on offer!
