The newly renovated Cocktail Bar & Club at Hotel Bosco was a worthy winner at the Surrey Awards 2025, beating tough competition in the coveted ‘Best Bar’ category from thousands of Surrey’s late night bar hopefuls.
They picked up the award at G Live in Guildford on Friday May 16th in front of 400 of Surrey’s elite, celebrities and music stars including Reef, Dub Pistols and Boney M, who performed on the night.

Bosco is well known for its amazing mixologists (including the talented Spiros – pictured here) and unparalleled cocktail list. As well as all the Cocktail Classics they have the most delectable selection of Signature Cocktails. Having been firm fans of Bosco Bar & Club for the past 5 years we have sampled some of the greatest mixology here, including:
‘The Shizzle’ – made from Belvedere Vodka, Select Aperitivo, Grapefruit, Edible Gold and Hibiscus – a treat for the senses and great for pictures with its decorative gold, yet edible, garnish!
‘Butterscotch Schnapps Espresso Martini’ – an inventive, sweet twist on the classic Martini with Kahlua, Absolut Original Vodka, Butterscotch Schnapps and a shot of Espresso.
‘Sailing In The Tropics’ – a fruity and fresh cocktail made from Havana Club 3 Años Rum, Lime, Mint, Sugar, Soda, topped with Passionfruit and Watermelon Juices.
‘The Whispering Angel Belvedere Spritz’ – a tastebud tantaliser made with Whispering Angel Rosé Wine, Belvedere Vodka, Noilly Prat Vermouth, Orange Bitters and Grapefruit Soda.
‘Whisky Business’ – made with Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky, Mango Liqueur, Peach, Egg White and Lemon. For Whisky lovers out there is the best cocktail on the market!
‘Cucumber And Rose Petal G+T’ – a light and floral twist on a classic Gin & Tonic, made with Hendricks Gin, Cucumber Syrup, Lime, Rose Petals and topped with Double Dutch Tonic.
On the ‘Bosco Classic Cocktail List’ you have a huge choice of 12 of the firm favourites: ‘Classic Champagne Hennessy Cocktail’, ‘Stolichnaya Martini’, ‘French 75’, ‘Negroni’, ‘Lychee Mojito’, ‘Strawberry Daiquiri’, a ‘Straight Up’ or ‘Blended Old Fashioned’, ‘Cosmopolitans’, ‘Passion Fruit Martini’, a fruity ‘Bramble’ or the South American inspired ‘Margarita.’
There are also 4 different specially curated Bosco Martinis to test out including ‘The Ruby’ – Vodka, St Germain, almond syrup, Chambord, ‘The Mezcal: Mezcal, Passion Fruit, Lemon, Orange, Rimmed With Smoked Salt, ‘The Manhattan’: Dry And Sweet Vermouth, Bulleit 95 Rye, Bitters, Morello Cherry and last but not least ‘Le Citrone’: Bacardi, Coconut Rum, Pineapple and Citrus.

PERUVIAN & MEXICAN DINING AT ITS BEST
The Cocktail Bar & Club at Hotel Bosco serve the most impressive Peruvian and Mexican Small Plates that are great for sharing on a night out including Ceviches, Tacos, Empenadas, Tiraditos and Bao Buns. There is indeed something for everyone on their impressive Latino-inspired menu.
On the advice of our helpful waitress, Christy, we went for the ‘Chicken Anticucho’ which consisted of flamegrilled skewers of the tastiest and most succulent Chicken thigh with a spicy Chalaquito and Chilli Sauce accompaniment. Totally devine.
With various different ‘Ceviche’ on offer we went for the ‘Sea Bass Ceviche’ which was made with Sea Bass flakes, Aji Amarillo Limo Tiger’s Milk, Sweet Potato, Avocado, Mango and Pomegranate. So fresh, healthy and light – this colourful dish is a great dining option for those that are filling up on Champagne & Cocktails, as it’s less than 350 calories a portion.
With 6 different Tacos to choose from including ‘Conchinta Pork’, ‘Barbacoa Beef’, ‘Halloumi Al Pastor’, ‘Ancho Mushroom’ and ‘Tinga Do Pollo’ – the Tempura Cod option of ‘Baja Fish’ enticed us the most with its Salsa Tartare and Cilantro sauce. It did not disappoint. The cubed Cod Portion was large and the encasing Tempura Batter was both fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. This was perfectly offset with the tanginess of the Tartare and Cilantro Dressings and delicious Wholewheat Taco. A winning dish in our opinion.
We also opted for the side of ‘Crispy Baby Roast Potatoes’ served on a bed of Sweet Potato/Uchucuta. It was presented beautifully and had just the right amount of crisp on the cute mini baby potatoes.
The ‘Braised Short Rib Bao Buns’ and ‘Prawn Dim Sum’ on the neighbouring table looked to die for too. Next time for sure!!
And for Dessert/Postres we couldn’t resist the famous ‘Bosco Churros’ – the Classic Mexican Dessert was everything we had hoped for…Mini Sweet Doughnut yumminess, perfectly fried with no greasiness, served with the most delicious Hot Chocolate Sauce.
Although we didn’t get to sample the full Dessert menu, the enticing ‘Dulce De Leche Tart’ served with Pistachio Ice-Cream and ‘The Chocolate Turron’ served with Caramelised Pecans & Chocolate Ice-Cream will be next on our hit list. We will be back soon for sure!
WORLD CLASS ENTERTAINMENT
Bosco have the best DJ’s spinning their decks every Friday and Saturday nights including the likes of DJ Craig; who has performed with Snoop Dogg and comes direct from London’s Sky Garden Terrace and DJ Ress; resident at Mahiki and Bluebird in Chelsea. Plus the best in local, from DJ Max Erreira or DJ Kobbie. Late night dancing till 1.30pm on weekends, what’s better than that?!
Plus, every last Thursday of the month, is the ‘Bosco Live Music Tribute Act’ where the best of the tributes enthrall the crowds.
