Every bottle is handcrafted, distilled and bottled on site – and visitors are very welcome! Enjoy a distillery tour or one of the gin-themed experiences, or simply relax at the pool side bar. it’s a must both for gin lovers and those wanting to spend time with friends.
DISTILLERY TOURS
Join a distillery tour and you’ll be taken to the heart of the distillery. Led by an experienced guide, you’ll learn about the history of the Silent Pool and of gin itself, explore the four stage distillation process and botanical blend that makes Silent Pool Gin special, and see the stills where its made. The tour includes a guided tasting of Silent Pool Gin, the Silent Pool Gin Expressions range and a selection of the distillery’s small batch spirits. Book ahead – this tour has a Trip Advisor Travellers Choice award and is very popular!

DISTILLERY EXPERIENCES
Enjoy a gin-themed twist on a traditional tea party! Book a table at the Silent Pool Distillery G&Tea Party and, following a short distillery tour, you’ll be treated to a traditional tea of finger sandwiches, canapés and sweet treats paired and enhanced with a selection of Silent Pool Distillery gins. Its a fabulous way to spend the afternoon.

The Aroma Experience introduces the Silent Pool Gin Expressions range and explores how aroma enhances our sense of taste. It’s based in a distillery ‘mini-lab’ where a gin expert will also guide you through the art of blending botanical oils to make your own aromatic liquid garnish that will take your G&T to the next level.

At the fascinating Bee Keeping Experience you’ll step into a beekeeper suit and meet the neighbouring bees – and bee keeper – who supply the honey used in Silent Pool Gin. Learn about the life cycle of bees and their importance to our planet before enjoying honey themed gin cocktails and cake back at the distillery.

The Artisan Tasting Day is your opportunity to tour the distillery and meet the neighbouring artisans at Albury Organic Vineyard and Mandira’s Kitchen. It’s a foodie’s delight that enables you to learn about and taste the finest local gin, wine and food. Lunch is included too!

THE DISTILLERY SHOP
Open seven days a week, the distillery shop carries the full Silent Pool Gin range alongside the Silent Pool Distiller’s Small Batch spirits. All are available to sample before you buy with expert guidance on hand from the knowledgable retail team. You can also stock up on Silent Pool Gin glassware bar kit and botanical-scented candles in recycled bottles.
And the popular refill machine enables you to refill your 70cl Silent Pool Gin bottles!
The Pool Bar
You’ll find the distillery’s Pool Bar on a secluded, sunny terrace that overlooks the Silent Pool. It’s open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday daytime from April to September for gin cocktails, craft beers and light snacks.

The Silent Pool Distillery is located by the Silent Pool on Shere Road, Albury GU5 9BW. Parking in the Silent Pool car park is free.
SILENT POOL GIN BEE’S KNEES COCKTAIL
This timeless classic was originally created in the 1920s and is the perfect serve for Silent Pool Gin. It has just three ingredients – gin, zesty lemon juice and rich, sweet honey. It’s very easy to make – and delicious!
Ingredients
50ml Silent Pool Gin
25ml Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
20ml Honey Water
Method
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake it vigorously for 8 to 12 seconds then strain into a coupette glass. Garnish with lemon peel to serve.
How to make Honey Water
Simply combine 1/2 cup of honey and 1/2 cup of water in a small saucepan. Warm over a medium heat, stirring until the honey is dissolved. Allow to cool and transfer to an airtight container. The Honey Water will keep, refrigerated, for up to a month.
