Brace yourselves thrill-seekers, the new Rage Room experience at the Holroyd Arms Pub in Guildford, is not just breaking the norm…. but everything else too.

So what exactly is a Rage Room?

A Rage Room is a facility designed for people to vent their frustrations and stress by breaking and smashing things in a controlled setting where stress relief meets adrenaline-fueled chaos!

OUR EXPERIENCE

We arrived at 3pm on a Thursday afternoon and after donning our overalls, hard hats and protective glasses, we listened to a brief safety talk and then were ready to take on the Rage Room.

There were 3 large tables full of smashable items – loads of glass bottles, a fan, a heater, a drink’s stand, a TV cabinet and a microwave were all there waiting to “get it!”

You can choose from 5 different tools to smash with; including sledge hammers and crow bars of varying sizes and weights. Only 3 people are allowed in the Rage Rooms at a time but there is a viewing gallery outside so any extra guests can stand outside protected and watch the action unfold.

And that it did!

Riley and Emerson took on the Rage Room first smashing their way through half the items with glee, the TV stand was a particular highlight as took a while to bring down, although the glass is definitely the most fun!

The noise of the smashing items is quite cathartic too by the way.

Riley described it as “Exciting and so much fun!”

That left myself and Archie with the remaining half of the smashable items – which we pulverised in the last 15 minutes of our 30-minute session.

The Holroyd Arms Rage Room benefits from Bluetooth speakers so you can blast out your own music whilst having a smashing good time!

Sam added, “With a particularly hard day at work, it was a fun, therapeutic way to release stress for sure!”

Prices start from £15 per person (if you bring your own stuff) and go up to £35pp if you have the maximum amount of breakables.

We’d definitely recommend taking a visit to the Holroyd Arms Pub, where they’ve turned letting off steam into an art form!
