The NHS is appealing for volunteers to help at it’s new vaccination centres in Reigate and Epsom.
For the first time, Surrey residents will have the chance to play a part in history, as Boris Johnson’s mass vaccination plan is ramping up to reach the 4 most vulnerable groups by the end of February.
The Old Canon headquarters in Woodhatch, near Reigate is serving as the base for Surrey County Council and Alliance for Better Care. It is recruiting ‘friendly people’ who are able to talk to the elderly or frail and sanitise the waiting area regularly.
Volunteers must be in good health with no infectious diseases.
It is anticipated that several centres will operate through Reigate and Banstead borough and they will be operational for several months.
There is also a large Surrey vaccination station set up on Epsom Downs Racecourse that will require volunteers.
