‘Top Gear’ presenter Paddy McGuiness and wife Christine have announced their separation after 11 years of marriage and 14 years together.
In a joint statement, the couple said: “A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children. This was not an easy decision to make but we’re moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We’ll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together.”
As the news came out it was made aware that the stress of having three children with autism was a major factor in the break-up. Christine was diagnosed with having the condition in 2021 after routine tests on both parents, and McGuiness said it was “something he’d always known.”
The couple’s twins Leo and Penelope and daughter Felicity also have the condition.
