Alec Baldwin is said to be “devastated” after being involved in an on-set prop gun going off accidently killing 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.
Alec, the eldest of the four Baldwin brothers was in New Mexico on the set of upcoming film ‘Rust’ when the tragedy occurred on October 22nd.
Hutchins, a wife and mother, was killed while Souza was released from hospital later that evening with “minor injuries.”
Police investigations are still ongoing, but it appears Baldwin was handed a loaded gun that should have contained blanks.
“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, a mother and deeply admired colleague of ours. I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred,” Baldwin revealed.
