Team GB brought home an impressive 65 medals in the Tokyo Olympics and had reason to celebrate coming fourth overall.
USA topped the medal table with a total of 113 medals across 27 different events, while China won 88 medals across the relatively low number of 20 events.
Among our record-breaking highlights were cyclist Jason Kenny becoming Team GB’s most successful Olympic athlete of all time after clinching his seventh gold and ninth medal in the men’s Keirin at the Izu Velodrome.
And sailors Hannah Mills and Eilidh McIntyre won Gold in the Women’s 470 class making Mills, 33, the most successful Olympic sailor ever. She won Gold in Rio and Silver in London.
Who could forget Tom Daley’s tears as he scooped the coveted Gold medal in the Synchronised Dive with Matty Lee? And the youngest ever Team GB winner ever 13-year-old Skateboarder Sky Brown clinched a Bronze medal last week.
