Raye is back with her 17-track, second studio album this month, \u2018The Music May Contain Hope\u2019 on March 27th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

This follows her breakthrough debut album \u2018My 21st<\/sup> Century Blues\u2019 in 2023, that scooped the Londoner 6 Brit Awards – unprecedented for a female solo artist in the UK and even the US.<\/p>\n

Raye picked up gongs for Best Album, Best Artist, Best Song, Best R&B Act and Best New Artist at the Brits when she was only 26. She was also the first woman to ever win \u2018Songwriter of the Year\u2019 and a Mercury Prize nomination.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a long time coming (3 years to be exact) but Raye\u2019s second album \u2018The Music May Contain Hope\u2019 is definitely worth the wait.<\/p>\n

In the last 3 years she has honed her writing skills and voice, working with the likes of impresario Mike Sabath. Her first track from the album \u2018Where Is my Husband?\u2019 is already hitting the airwaves and getting praise for its tone and authenticity.<\/p>\n

The new album is said to reflect 4 seasons so expect a mix of pop, rhythm, blues and dance.<\/p>\n

Raye first shot to fame when her track \u2018Escapism\u2019 went viral on Tik Tok and reached number one in the UK charts. Her album \u2018My 21st Century Blues\u2019 also won her a Mercury Prize nomination, plus all those aforementioned Brit Awards.<\/p>\n

Raye has said her middle name was inspired by her grandmother, Agatha Dawson-Amoah, who she has said is her mentor. \u201cMy grandma is awake til 3am praying for me and my beautiful sisters, I love you so much,\u201d Raye said.<\/p>\n
