I often say that the key to young-looking skin is tightness.\u00a0Skin tightening is always at the forefront of my work and I\u2019m always looking for the best science-based methods to attain this for my beautiful clients. Skin laxity (or saggy skin) can be the product of UV exposure, sun damage, weight loss, ageing and hormone level changes.<\/p>\n
As we get older, we lose collagen and elastin in the skin which in turn impacts firmness and can leave the skin looking crepey or saggy. This can affect our confidence and the clothes we choose to wear. Thankfully, with the advance of anti-ageing aesthetics, there are a plethora of cutting-edge treatments available to everyone, not just celebrities.<\/p>\n
These threads are so wonderful that I have nicknamed them \u2018the little superheroes of the anti-ageing industry\u2019. They are the most exciting skincare innovation of the decade. PDO threads (known as polydioxanone) are completely absorbable sutures that lift, tighten and rejuvenate the skin. I have created my own signature PDO techniques that deliver incredibly youthful results. I use threads to create a supportive scaffolding that lifts and tightens the skin. The PDO threads gradually dissolve within the skin causing the production of YOUR OWN natural collagen. This enhances the tightening effect over time and reduces the appearance of crepey or wrinkled skin. I love that they are made from a biocompatible material that has been used in surgery for years. This means that they are completely non-toxic so have no negative impact on your skin or body. They merely trigger your own natural collagen to reverse ageing, lift and tighten.
