Marbella has been added to the list of cities that can open for business on Sundays and public holidays.
The law currently restricts most Spanish businesses from opening as these are national days of rest. However, certain big cities have had these restrictions lifted due to increasing tourism demands. Now Marbs is one of them. The list of Sunday trading cities contains important tourist destinations including Madrid, Malaga, Barcelona and Granada, so to be added to this list is a compliment in itself to Marbella.
Marbella has been named as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain with figures already up 12% on last year.
