Located opposite the H10 Andalucía Plaza, Regina’s is a traditional Italian restaurant with a twist.

The twist being this fine dining restaurant provides live entertainment on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with live singers and bands playing music from 70’s and 80’s to ABBA, Motown and the Rat Pack. Although its charismatic owner Paola says they try and make every night special.

Run by sisters Paola and Daniela Morelli who are originally from Naples in southern Italy. Their vision almost 20 years ago when they opened Regina’s was to create superb authentic Italian cuisine sourced from the best recipes from their famous Italian hometown.  All the food is cooked in an open kitchen where you’ll see sumptuous and hearty portions of steak, lamb and chicken cooked slowly on open charcoal pits. The handmade pasta and pizza dishes are second to none.  If you are a fan of carpaccio, you won’t be disappointed with the selection here, with octopus, langoustines and salmon as well as the more traditional fillet steak offering.

Paola recommends the truffle pasta served on a bed of beef carpaccio while Daniela favours the cod, fresh tomato, black olive and basil main course, Baccala alla Puttasca.

“The food from Naples actually tastes better. Its volcanic terrain ensures that everything that’s grown is rich in nutrients and has an authentic flavour,” Paola says.

The portions are also generous without you feeling overloaded. The wine list is extensive and the recommendations were superb, interestingly not always pointing to the most expensive wines on the menu to match the food choices.

When the sisters opened the restaurant in 1995 they brought close friend and chef Luciano Pappalardo over from Naples. They work together to ensure the best dishes are served so customers can get the best Italian country cooking. The duo also regularly fly back to Naples to sample the local cuisine to get tips on how to make their menu even better.

While some local restaurants have come and gone in Marbella, Regina’s has standed the test of time due to their commitment and passion for great food and unwavering customer service. You are greeted with a smile and chat on arrival and looked after from start to finish.

The restaurant regularly accommodates large groups for parties but if you want to go for a more quiet, romantic meal just check what’s happening that night or book an earlier sitting. The party atmosphere really kicks in at 10.30pm on their busier band nights. If you want to attend a live music night double check before booking but in peak summer you’re guaranteed an entertaining night.

If you wanted to stop in for a pre-dinner cocktail or drink, Regina’s has just launched their R Bar for cocktails and for pre or post dinner drinks. In addition, Regina’s is planning to show some of the World Cup matches in their newly refurbished conservatory at the back of the restaurant.

The restaurant is open seven days a week. For lunch, Monday to Friday from 12pm until 4pm and for traditional Sunday lunch from 1pm until 5pm, and for dinner Monday to Saturday from 7.30pm until midnight.

Whilst not expensive in Marbella terms, a starter, main course, dessert and wine for 2 people will set you back €100-€150.
