Each year the world\u00b4s top designers showcase their latest collections on the runways of the world\u00b4s biggest and most fashionable cities. While the world\u00b4s media wait with baited breath to see what everyone<\/em> will be wearing next season, there is also a huge question hanging over these infamous events\u2026.which city wore it best? We\u00b4ve scored the top 4 Fashion Weeks out of 50 on: number of shows, exhibitors best collections, front row celebrities, top quotes, OMG moments, history and income generated to find out who won Fashion Week. PARIS FASHION WEEK<\/p>\n

September 30 – October 7<\/p>\n

TOP DESIGNER EXHIBITORS<\/p>\n

CHLO\u00c9: The SS16 collection echoed a sweet and joyous theme with the main features including casual denim and something which is out of the ordinary for Chlo\u00e9: sport chic apparel like striped track pants and lingerie like camisoles. Simple yet definitely effective.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 5<\/p>\n

CELINE: Celine offered black lace which left little to the imagination this season, the sheer trend ranged from lingerie dressing which staked as outerwear to leather dresses.The talk of the show was a green army hourglass option with a knit torso which flooded onto Instagram.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 4<\/p>\n

HERMES: The concept of the show was luxury. The femininity of the jackets and overcoats tailored the masterpieces alongside a pairing of wide leg trousers with coloured sneakers. The pleated skirts in leather formed the path for evening numbers. The colour palette was black, blue, ivory and red.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCK RATING: 5<\/p>\n

TOM FORD: The models for the show oozed confidence and sex appeal wearing fur patchwork tops and miniskirts. Lace and leather paired together translates into a rock and roll theme whilst the metallic reflections highlighted their curves. A quick appearance from Lada Gaga made the cut which gave him added kudos.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 1<\/p>\n

Tom Ford loses 2 points as he had to present the show via video link as he was too busy to attend.<\/p>\n

FRONT ROW CELEBRITIES: Audrey Tautou, Dylan Penn, Jada Pinkett Smith, Alice Isaaz, Marie-Agnes Gillot, Aymeline Valade and Chiara Ferragni.<\/p>\n

QUOTE: \u201cStaying true, staying what we are, moving forward, everyday,\u201d Clare Waight Keller said.<\/p>\n

CELEB ROCKS RATING: 2<\/p>\n

OMG MOMENT: Rick Owen\u00b4s stole the show at Paris Fashion Week by sending models down the runway as human rucksacks! The provocative performance art show by Owens was both shocking and impressive. While supposedly an ode to women and pregnancy \u2013 reporters said it looked more like a 69!<\/p>\n

OMG ROCKS RATING: 5<\/p>\n

STYLING: The Chloe models who walked the show were made up by celebrity hairstylist Eugene Souleiman to wash their hair and let it air dry. Never before has fashion week gone for such a low key (or lazy?!) look.<\/p>\n

HISTORY: Paris was the third fashion week created in 1973 under the French Fashion Federation.<\/p>\n

TOP DESIGNER EXHIBITORS<\/p>\n

MOSCHINO: Jeremy Scott\u2019s Moschino show this year brought vibrancy and of course individuality, we wouldn\u2019t expect anything less! One of Scott\u2019s themes was road traffic and the designs were adapted and reworked hi-vis using neon green and orange and the d\u00e9cor consisted of tyre marks and stop signs.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 5<\/p>\n

ROBERTO CAVALLI: Use of pastel colours in this season\u2019s collection was a refreshing theme considering the muted colour palettes colours used by other designers. Cavalli conveyed a sense of youth in his denim crop jackets and belted mini dresses.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 5<\/p>\n

ARMANI: Georgio Armani\u2019s Spring 2016 collection was preppy and quirky, mix and matching silk culottes and blazers giving it an out-of-school look. The glamorous side to this collection had a day at the races theme with oversized hats and summer cocktail dresses.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 4<\/p>\n

GUCCI<\/p>\n

The Gucci Spring 2016 collection featured unusual animal footwear. The models graced the catwalk in kangaroo fur loafers retailing at \u00a31165. Apart from the wacky (overpriced) all fur shoes the rest of Gucci\u2019s collection was bright, dressed with sequins and even more animal print!<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 5<\/p>\n

NUMBER OF SHOWS: 170<\/p>\n

STAND OUT MOMENT: The entire Moschino show made you feel as if you were in the midst of daytime congestion in a busy city which enticed audiences and created a whole new level for fashion shows. Traffic sounds and smells were blasted out to the awaiting crowds.<\/p>\n

STAND OUT ROCKS RATING: 3<\/p>\n

FRONT ROW CELEBRITIES:<\/strong> Ciara, Miranda Kerr, Dakota Johnson, Alexa Chung, Heidi Klum, Anna Wintour and Kylie Minogue.<\/p>\n

QUOTE: <\/strong>\u201cIt seemed like there was no end to Milan Fashion Weeks ingenuity\u201d Gucci creative director.<\/p>\n

CELEBRITY ROCKS RATING: 4<\/p>\n

OMG MOMENT: Moschino developed several cartoon theme looks featuring the powderpuff girls alongside other TV and comic strip references.<\/p>\n

HISTORY: Established in 1958, Milan was the second fashion week to be inaugurated after New York. It is owned by Italian non-profit organisation<\/p>\n

VIVIENNE WESTWOOD: This season Westwood has captured the essence of 70\u2019s flower power. Extravagant shoulder pads were an iconic design used in a lot of Westwood\u2019s outfits and the ruffled hem wrap dresses were extremely flattering for the models, clinching in tightly at the waist and loosely covering other areas.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 5<\/p>\n

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN: Sarah Burton the creative director of McQueen created a Victorian era theme for this seasons collection. It was an elegant and original masterpiece. The high neck ruffles made regular appearances fitting well within the time period and proved successful due to the positive audience reactions.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 5<\/p>\n

VICTORIA BECKHAM: This season VB\u00b4s collection conveyed a new and creative side to her designs. The eccentric and bohemian styles were displayed through statement green and oxblood checked pattern used in a range of styles from pinafore dresses to maxi skirts.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 4<\/p>\n

BURBERRY: Christopher Bailey\u2019s collection for Burberry maintained his trademark colours of nude and black whilst adding some paisley and floral patterns into the mix too. Tassels and frills were incorporated in a number of his designs while the classic overcoat made regular appearances from the iconic and timeless Burberry trench to the oversized suede duffel.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 4<\/p>\n

STAND OUT MOMENT: Posh\u2019s recent trip to Africa for charity seemed to make a collaborative impact on her collection especially with the use of bright vivid colours combined with camel suedes made her collection anything but bland. Victoria\u2019s previous trademark of dark clothing says she is up for experimenting now.<\/p>\n

STAND OUT RATING: 3<\/p>\n

FRONT ROW CELEBRITIES: Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Sadie Frost, Paloma Faith, Lily Allen and Benedict Cumberbatch.<\/p>\n

QUOTE: \u201cI think it\u00b4s cool that London Fashion Week is about young designers trying wacky things,\u201d Alexa Chung.<\/p>\n

CELEB ROCKS RATING: 4<\/p>\n

OMG MOMENT: Duran Duran<\/em> frontman Simon Le Bon\u00b4s wife Amber ended up in A&E after hitting her head on a curb outside LFW. We are told she has recovered well from the head injury but missed front row at Bora Aksu. We feel your pain Amb!<\/p>\n

OMG RATING: 3<\/p>\n

STYLING: Huge shoulder pads were seen at the Vivienne Westwood show.<\/p>\n

STYLING RATING: 3<\/p>\n

HISTORY: Last of the big four. London Fashion Week was launched by the British Fashion Council in 1984.<\/p>\n

TOMMY HILFIGER: Hilfiger took influence from Jamica and legendary reggae singer Bob Marley. The collection showcased rainbow colour caps and followed through to boho dresses and crochet accessories culminising in a playful water catwalk with daring bottom-baring bikinis.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 4<\/p>\n

JASON WU: The SS16 collection was based upon hourglass dresses and challenging the balance between power and delicateness. The colour palette ranged from floral, teal and coral red.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 3<\/p>\n

PHILIP LIM: Philip\u2019s spring collection gave off a mix of themes, the leather and satin garments showcased Philips attention to detail and shapes which compliment the figure. The colour palette ranged from florals, beige, green, gold and grey.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 5<\/p>\n

GIVENCHY: The models walked in mostly black and white outfits for Givenchy\u2019s US show including couture and ready to wear collections. The collection was inspired by memories of the freedom of New York.<\/p>\n

DESIGNER ROCKS RATING: 4<\/p>\n

STAND OUT MOMENT: The Givenchy venue was in close proximity to the 9\/11 memorial site, given the show was on the anniversary date many were speculating if the event would link through fashion – which he did subtly. The set involved recycled metal panels nailed together with live performance art set ups and a rendition of Ave Maria for the finale.<\/p>\n

STAND OUT RATING: 3<\/p>\n

FRONT ROW CELEBRITIES: Julia Roberts, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Hudson, Karen Elson, Nicki Minaj and Steven Tyler.<\/p>\n

OMG MOMENT: Two different models took a tumble down the catwalk (though they both got back up and finished their turns like professionals).<\/p>\n

TOP STYLING: Tommy Hillfiger recreated a beach scene with water and sent down all the models at the end of the show with their bums out in bikinis.<\/p>\n

HISTORY: New York was first ever Fashion Week, started in 1943 during World War II to showcase US designers as French were under occupacy by Germany. PR guru Eleanor Lambert organised, believing this was the time to show the world what US designers were capable of.<\/p>\n
