With a whole host of top local and international acts about to star in a venue near you, we caught up with directors Louise Gibson and Adele Blaney to find out more about the company, their concerts and a bit about the talented duo themselves.<\/strong><\/p>\n

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO START DIAMONDS & PEARLS?<\/span><\/em>
\nWe had been discussing setting up an events company for over a year. In 2016 we decided to bite the bullet as it seemed like the perfect time for us both. Since then the business is going from strength to strength with very exciting events coming up in 2017 and 2018.<\/p>\n

WHAT WAS YOUR BACKGROUND?<\/span><\/em>
\nWe have both been performers in the past and have an array of experience both performing extensively in the UK and Europe. Adele is a music teacher and has been for the past 17 years. Collectively our experience in the entertainment industry has found us with the perfect combination of personalities and drive to succeed.<\/p>\n

YOU ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON A GREAT NEW MUSICAL INITIATIVE CALLED RISING STARS WITH SINGER LEMAR, WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?<\/span><\/em>
\nThe rising stars is one part of our business which is growing rapidly. We are both very excited about the future of our concept. We are looking for young singer\/songwriters aged between 14 – 18 to audition in front of our top judging panel on 23rd April, the successful performers will get a 2 year contract and get the chance to produce their own songs with our producer Terry Shaughnessy and then showcase these at our Rising Stars concert with Lemar in June. Two of our Stars have just released their debut singles: Amalia – Walking in the Rain and Paris – Cold heart, both of which are available to buy on iTunes, Google Play and Spotify.<\/p>\n

HOW CAN OUR READERS GET INVOLVED?<\/span><\/em>
\nInterested applicants need to send us an MP3 of either their original track or a cover to info@diamondsandpearlseventsmanagement.com if you do not have a full written song you can still apply as long as you have the ambition to songwrite and are aged between 14 – 18. We have received some amazingly talented entries so far and are very excited about the auditions.<\/p>\n

CAN YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT DIAMONDS & PEARLS UPCOMING SUMMER CONCERTS?<\/span><\/em>
\nWe have many different events coming up one of which is \u201cAn Evening With\u201d Rugby Hero Matt Dawson. The evening will give you the chance to ask Matt your questions about his Famous Rugby career and involvement with Masterchef and Strictly Come Dancing, Matt will also be hosting our charity auction. The evening will include a gala dinner include fantastic live entertainment. In April the fantastic Andrew Derbyshire (pictured above) will be performing at the luxurious Valparaiso restaurant in Mijas. In June we host the incredible Four D\u00b4s concert which is guaranteed to be a night not to be missed!<\/p>\n

IS THERE ONE IN PARTICULAR YOU\u2019RE LOOKING FORWARD TO?<\/span><\/em>
\nWe are looking forward to them all, in particular our Rising Stars concert with Lemar. Lemar is an amazing performer and it’s a huge opportunity for our young talented singers to showcase their work on stage with him.<\/p>\n

HOW DO YOU SOURCE THE TALENT FOR DIAMONDS & PEARLS CONCERTS AND EVENTS?<\/span><\/em>
\nWe work directly with various managers\/agents in the UK and have an incredible team behind us.<\/p>\n

DO YOU EVER GET STAR STRUCK BRUSHING SHOULDERS WITH CELEBS?<\/span><\/em>
\nWhen we met Matt Dawson in the UK for our upcoming event, we were excited but also anxious about meeting him. He was in fact a real gentleman and we are very excited to be working with him.<\/p>\n

LOUISE, YOUR DAUGHTER PARIS IS AN EXTREMELY TALENTED SINGER, IS SHE MAKING ANY APPEARANCES ON THE COSTA DEL SOL THIS SUMMER?<\/em><\/span>
\nParis has just been put through to the next stage of X Factor auditions so we have our fingers crossed for her. We are counting on your votes if she gets through to the live shows! Paris and Amalia will be ambassadors for the showcase concert in June with Lemar and will both be performing their singles along with our new \u00b4Rising Stars\u00b4 who will be announced after our auditions in April.<\/p>\n

IF YOU COULD BRING ANY FAMOUS POP STAR TO SPAIN, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?<\/span><\/em>
\nThis is a funny subject as we both have a varied taste in music…one minute it\u2019s Stevie Wonder, the next it\u2019s Anastacia. Louise’s dream is to meet Tina Turner or Van Morrison and Adele\u00b4s would be Paul Weller or Elvis – but unfortunately he left the building a while ago!<\/p>\n

IF YOU COULD ONLY TAKE THREE THINGS TO A DESERT ISLAND, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?<\/span><\/em>
\nAn iPod for music, cheese and wine\u2026can we choose a boat?!<\/p>\n

BEST ADVICE EVER GIVEN?<\/span><\/em>
\nFrom one of the most influential businessmen we have met to date \u201cDon’t let the words of jealous people hold you down, rise above and keep fighting for what you believe.\u201d<\/p>\n

BEST CHARACTER TRAIT?<\/span><\/em>
\nOur openness and drive to succeed. We have an amazing bond which is hard to find, when either one of us is under pressure, the other picks up the pieces.<\/p>\n

WHAT DO YOU DO TO RELAX?<\/span><\/em>
\nWe normally enjoy spending time with our children and eating out!<\/p>\n

WHAT COULDN’T YOU LIVE WITHOUT?<\/span><\/em>
\nOur children, the sunshine and a lovely glass of Chablis! Oh and Karaoke!<\/p>\n

BEST THING ABOUT LIVING IN SPAIN?<\/span><\/em>
\nGiving our children the opportunity to learn another language and enjoy the Spanish culture and traditions as well as having the outdoor lifestyle.<\/p>\n

WORST THING?<\/span><\/em>
\nThe Internet connection.<\/p>\n
