The summer is coming to an end, but in Marbella that just means another excuse to party! The season’s legendary closing parties are as big, if not bigger than the opening events and leave everyone looking forward to the following year.
With so many events taking place, we thought it would only be polite to give you a run down of our favourites to be sure you don’t miss out on any of the closing party action.
Marbs Parties
Taking place on Thursday 25th September, The Big Closing Boat Party marks the end of Marbs Parties summer season.
This year the legendary boat parties have been hosted by everyone from TOWIE’s Dan Osborne and Ex on the Beach’s Chloe Goodman to reality star-cum-TV presenter Mark Wright and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’s Amy Willerton. Imagine beautiful people dancing aboard a yacht on the Mediterranean with a celebrity or two thrown in and that’s Marbs Boat Parties. This year has proven so popular, they are already taking bookings for summer 2015.
Check in is at 3pm at Babalonia and boarding begins at 3.30pm for a 4pm departure from Puerto Banus. Tickets start from 90€ which includes a free bar whilst out at sea (can’t complain) and DJ Ricky Simmonds will be on-board to ensure an afternoon of the finest music and entertainment.
The VIP after party location is yet to be announced, but no doubt one of Banus’ hotspots will be the place to head. Make sure you book your tickets early as this is going to sell our fast. Don’t say we didn’t warn you! VIP upgrades are also available if you really feel like shelling out!

News Café
Rumour has it News Café will be combining their end of season celebration with none other than Halloween… so start looking for a costume now. If last year’s Halloween party was anything to go by, your run-of-the-mill witch’s outfit isn’t going to cut it! Think Hollywood-style costume make-up (Heidi Klum and Seal-esque) and you’re getting close! News Café is another place to expect to see a celebrity or two with Amir Khan, Louis Smith, One Direction and Premiership footballers Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Rio Ferdinand all spotted partying here over the last year. Situated overlooking the Puerto Banus harbour and in the centre of all the port’s nightlife you can be sure if anyone is going to throw a Halloween party to remember it will be News Café.

Ocean Club
With one of the finest firework displays to hit the coast and endless entertainment, the annual Black and Gold Ocean Club Closing Party is definitely one to put in your diary. On Saturday 27th September enjoy a rare opportunity to experience the epic beach club by night and bid a fond farewell to what can only be described as a summer of champagne, celebration and cocktails. General tickets are 150€ which includes an open bar and canapés, but if you want the luxury treatment book a table and enjoy a prime seat for the first-class entertainment.

Nikki Beach
If you are going to make one fashion purchase this month, make it a red dress.

Every celebrity who has touched down in Marbella this summer has been spotted at Aqwa Mist. Famed for its world-class live performances, the ‘superclub’ has already welcomed the legendary Chris Brown, DJ Snake and Rudimental this year, so if any closing party is going to boast a few famous faces you can be sure it’s going to be Aqwa Mist. Whilst no date has been confirmed our contacts have informed us it will be around the end of October so if you were planning on heading home before Halloween, think again as this will be a party you don’t want to miss.
