Famed as\u00a0much for its fast cars as\u00a0its\u00a0wild\u00a0parties held during each leg of the race \u2013 read this exciting, entertaining,\u00a0no-holds barred account\u00a0of\u00a0the craziest\u00a0race on the planet \u2013\u00a0and get your credit card ready\u00a0to\u00a0book your trip\u00a0next year as the Toronto to Havana 2022 trip has just been announced and is happening on 27th<\/sup> May to 3rd<\/sup> June 2022.<\/p>\n Read this account of the craziest week of these young drivers lives \u2013 when they completed Sweden to Vegas in under a week for Gumball 3000! Well done Chris Murphy and Sam Moores for surviving.<\/p>\n SWEET\u00a0SWEDEN<\/p>\n The race kicked off in\u00a0Sweden\u00b4s capital\u00a0Stockholm. Plenty of partying was had before we hit the starting grid\u00a0as registration starts the day before and the party atmosphere kicks in a few days before.\u00a0And\u00a0Stockholm is the place to party!\u00a0The Swedes are great and so welcoming.\u00a0Beautiful hot women,\u00a0you can\u00a0walk\u00a0into any club and\u00a0are surrounded by\u00a0\u201c11\/10 girls\u201d. A lot of Gumballers reported threesomes\u00a0and even foursomes,\u00a0but we were on our best\u00a0behaviour!<\/p>\n The starting grid was chaotic with over 100 cars participating, we held back\u00a0in our Porsche 918\u00a0to get the best pictures from the event.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Once underway the drive to\u00a0our next stopover point,\u00a0Oslo,\u00a0was fairly relaxed, cruising along through scenic\u00a0countryside\u00a0alongside\u00a0vintage classics and hybrid\u00a0hypercars\u00a0such as\u00a0LaFerrari,\u00a0the\u00a0Porsche 918\u00a0Spyder,\u00a0Pagani\u00a0Huayra\u00a0and McLaren P1\u00b4s.\u00a0We passed\u00a0quite\u00a0a few cars that had obviously\u00a0been pulled over by police.\u00a0One of our friends was even being escorted in the opposite direction presumably for a blood test. They do this when they get\u00a0a questionable\u00a0breathaliser\u00a0reading.<\/p>\n Therefore\u00a0readers,\u00a0here are my\u00a03\u00a0golden Gumball\u00a0rules to remember:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n ZE GERMANS<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Which leads me nicely onto\u00a0our German connection. On arrival at our next\u00a0destination point we were all provided with letters\u00a0in our hotel\u00a0that said all sponsors logos had to be covered up by tape\u00a0on our route through Germany.\u00a0(????)\u00a0\u00a0We left early to avoid any problems and despite us following the regulations we were repeatedly stopped to have our documents checked all the way through Germany. The most frustrating moment was when this driver appeared to be veering in and out of lanes and undercutting us, acting really strange. Thinking it was just a follower trying to get a good photo of our car we dutifully played around until it got on our nerves – so much so we undercut it and sped off. Much to our annoyance the car happened to be undercover police and we were pulled over yet again. The police\u00a0were shocked to find out we filmed the whole thing and were quick to let us go\u00a0without so much as a warning!! German Police: 0\u00a0Moores\u00a0& Murphy: 1.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n AMSTERDAM<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Dam didn\u00b4t disappoint. A huge festival was put on at the Ajax Stadium where we\u00a0were supposed\u00a0to drive our cars\u00a0in front of the\u00a030,000 strong\u00a0crowd.\u00a0Dutch DJ\u00a0Afrojack\u00a0also put on an impressive gig.\u00a0This was\u00a0another night of classic partying where we bumped into a fellow racer who had a Facebook sponsor sticker on his car. But strangely with the words \u201cThank you\u00a8 emblazoned above it. As he was holding his magnum of champagne we questioned\u00a0his gratitude of\u00a0the social media site. To which he promptly replied:\u00a0 \u201cI\u00b4m one of the initial founders and Facebook\u00a0earnt\u00a0me $700 million.\u201d\u00a0Ahhhh, ok,\u00a0get it now.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n SIGHT SEEING AT KOENIGSEGG<\/p>\n Gumball\u00a0Rallyers\u00a0were\u00a0also\u00a0treated to a tour around the\u00a0Koenigsegg\u00a0Factory in Copenhagen where we got to see a \u20ac1.5m one: 1 CCXR in production. 13,000 kilos to 13,000 break\u00a0horse power, carbon\u00a0fibre\u00a0wheels that our guide threw at us and they were as light as a feather.\u00a0An amazing car.\u00a0We also got to drag race around the test circuit with other\u00a0Gumballers\u00a0reaching speeds of 190mph.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n MILE-HIGH MADNESS<\/p>\n <\/p>\n There is only one word to describe the antics of 200\u00a0Gumballers\u00a0on a transatlantic\u00a0flight to Reno\u2026 madness. Within 15 minutes of the plane taking off\u00a0Dirty Sanchez<\/em>\u00a0entertainer Pritchard stripped off and was parading around the plane\u00a0fully naked. We\u00b4re convinced his drink was spiked\u00a0soon after\u00a0as he passed out very quickly! We were allowed in the cockpit and one crafty\u00a0Gumballer\u00a0even duck-taped his iPhone to the pilot\u00b4s\u00a0tanoy\u00a0so we had\u00a0load\u00a0music throughout the duration of the flight. Other recollections from the flight include a skateboard whizzing past on descent. Not exactly health and safety but this was a private flight not a passenger one, so rules went out the window.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n LA BOUND<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Midwest Gumball trips are pretty dull\u2026.600\u00a0mile long stretches with nothing but a petrol station, a\u00a0lapdance\u00a0club and a place to buy fried chicken! Thankfully this year we hit the West Coast again (!) landing in Reno then hitting San Francisco before arriving in LA. The US leg of the journey\u00a0was\u00a0even more\u00a0exciting this year\u00a0as we got to race\u00a0with\u00a0F1 Champion\u00a0Lewis Hamilton. Plus other regular US participants included\u00a0rapper Eve\u00a0(who married Gumball founder\u00a0Maximillion\u00a0Cooper\u00a0on last year\u00b4s race),\u00a0Baywatch<\/em>\u00a0star David\u00a0Hasselhoff\u00a0and boxer Mike Tyson.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Reports from local newspapers suggested that\u00a0Gumballers\u00a0were driving in and out of LA highway traffic of up to speeds of 170mph. We know nothing about this!!!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n VEGAS BABY!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The final leg of the trip to Vegas was an exhausting one.
