Relax, your boyfriend might not have<\/em>\u00a0even <\/em>been born yet!<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Today these older women have\u00a0been labelled as \u2018cougars\u2019\u00a0in\u00a0relation to the mountain lion, as though they are wild animals with no self-control.\u00a0But this is arguably not true; today women like Tina Turner and Courtney Cox have actually developed long term and loving\u00a0relationships with their younger partners.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Madonna\u2019s most recent flame has tipped her previously biggest age gap of 30 years with Timor Steffens,\u00a0by dating 27-year-old Ahlamalik Williams \u2013 36 years her junior.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n While the couple have been recently holidaying in Italy for the \u2018Material Girl\u2019s\u2019 63rd<\/sup> birthday putting on a lot of PDA\u2019s, they were in fact first linked back in 2019 when Williams was her backing dancer and they were spotted cosying up together in a Miami nightclub.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Whether you approve or not approve, Madonna\u2019s 3 kids seemed happy their Mum\u2019s much younger boyfriend joining them on the recent trip.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n While Williams has yet to publicly comment on his relationship with Madonna, his predecessor Steffens revealed\u00a0that the age gap never affected them.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThere is an age gap between me and Madonna but I don\u2019t notice it. My girlfriends have always been older than me and that\u2019s how I like it. I learn a lot!\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Although we are certain Mr Steffens is aware\u00a0that\u00a0learning\u00a0isn\u2019t the only plus side of dating an older woman.\u00a0Chances are she is not\u00a0new to the\u00a0dating scene and will wow you with her knowledge, experience and\u00a0confidence.\u00a0Maybe this is why cougar relationships are becoming so de rigeur today.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Courtney Cox, Mariah Carey and Tina Turner have even married their younger men. So unless mountain lions are known to settle down in loving<\/p>\n monogamous\u00a0relationships, I don\u2019t think the name \u2018cougar\u2019 sufficiently applies to these women.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Plus, if women from any age have the confidence to get out there and embrace their sexuality then why shouldn\u2019t they?\u00a0It has been argued that it is\u00a0even empowering for\u00a0females\u00a0to see that age does not stop you from being beautiful and appreciated.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n GOING THE DISTANCE<\/p>\n <\/p>\n But the\u00a0question is, does the dramatic age difference\u00a0end in disaster? Unfortunately, for many\u00a0couples\u00a0it all\u00a0did end in tears.\u00a0For instance, Madonna has had three failed\u00a0relationships\u00a0with men\u00a0at least\u00a020\u00a0years younger than her. In fact,\u00a0when interviewed\u00a0for an online gossip magazine, Harry\u00a0admitted that he\u2019s seen daughters bury their heads into their hands\u00a0in humiliation, whilst the mothers try\u00a0and\u00a0flirt with him at concerts.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n But what about MOUGARS?!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Yes that\u2019s\u00a0right! At one point she even eyes up a young man with the words,\u00a0\u201cI\u2019d love to lick his body\u201d.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Unfairly women are perceived as doing something wrong in the media when in actual fact they are just enjoying normal, healthy relationships, with men that happen to be a bit younger than them.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n THE ORIGINAL COUGAR<\/p>\n <\/p>\n However, it seems men\u2019s interest in older women officially began after Finch landed Stiffler\u2019s mum, Jeanine, on top of a pool\u00a0table in the film\u00a0American Pie<\/em>.\u00a0Finch was congratulated\u00a0afterwards,\u00a0as though it was an achievement of some sort.\u00a0In addition,\u00a0the phrase MILF (standing for \u2018mother I\u2019d like to f***\u2019),\u00a0also became well known after its frequent use in the\u00a0hit film.
