The film begins with the disappearance of suburban housewife, Amy Dunne, played by the striking Brit actress Rosamund Pike. Her husband Nick Dunne, portrayed by a heavier Ben Affleck, is the first and only suspect. Well, for a good part of the movie, that is. So did he or didn’t he kill her?<\/p>\n

We lurch from feeling pity for this seemingly devoted husband to outright suspicion, as snippets from Amy’s diary, read in voice-over by the missing Amy and accompanied by flashbacks, hint that things may not be what they seem.But just when you think you\u2019ve got the plot all sussed out, things change and the plot morphs again.<\/p>\n

Without giving too much away about this unpredictable squeaker, let it be said that it\u2019s definitely worth a watch. The David Fincher film received only one Oscar nomination for Rosamund Pike as Best Actress, although many film pundits believe it unfairly missed out on a Best Picture nod..<\/p>\n
