When we age, our hair does too and while long hair is often associated with youthfulness \u2013 if its dry, wispy and needing a bit of TLC \u2013 the best option to help it recover and look more youthful is to keep it shoulder length. Face framing fringes are all the rage for women in their 30\u2019s and older as they add a youthful quality and make your face look smaller. Make sure your fringe isn\u2019t cut too long to cover your eyes though. A side-swept, blended in fringe looks good on any woman, any age. Work with your hairstylist to find the right fringe for you.<\/p>\n

PIXIE CUT<\/p>\n
By having a very short haircut (a Pixie Cut is defined by long on top yet short at the sides) it can bring out other striking features of your face more \u2013 ie your eyes or high cheekbones as it skims these areas and thus draws attention to your best feature. One thing to bear in mind is to always add product to give volume and height to your Pixie Cut so its not limp or lifeless.<\/p>\n

Older women can get away with longer hairstyles if it is well layered and paired with highlights and\/or lowlights to add dimension. The lightening or darkening of your natural hair colour can also add a much-needed youthful glow and with long layers gives it a defined shape. If opting for highlights ensure you do a weekly deep conditioning treatment to keep it looking glossy.<\/p>\n
