Want to know all about the latest Supercars being released this year so you can get your hands on the newest and best piece of sparkling metal on the planet!
Here´s Marbella Rocks definitive guide to the best of the best Supercars of 2015.
LAMBORGHINI HURRICANE SPYDER
Lamborghini are releasing the convertible Huracan Spyder in June, after a long anticipated wait since it´s unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014. The four-wheel drive 602 bhp is described as “sensational.” It will be able to reach speeds of 100 km an hour in 3.2 seconds. The Huracan is now the most produced Lamborghini ever. It replaced the hugely popular Gallardo, which sold 14,000 units over it´s 10-year lifespan.
ROLLS ROYCE WRAITH DROPHEAD COUPE
Billed as the “most potent and technologically advanced Rolls-Royce in history” the popular Wraith will now be available in convertible or Drophead Coupe as the car manufacturer calls it. According to the group´s CEO this supercar will be targeted at younger buyers who may have never considered buying a Rolls-Royce before. This model will not be available until the end of the year or start of 2016.
MERCEDES AMG-GT
Mercedes replacement for their bowed out SLS Supercar comes in the form of this shorter and lighter rear-wheel-drive AMG GT. The car features a long bonnet and swooping roofline making use of more carbon and aluminium than its predecessor. Also it does not feature gullwing doors. There will be two versions released at the end of 2015 a ´base´ model with 456 bhp and a 503 bhp GT S version. These deliver speeds of 0 – 100 km an hour in 4 and 3.8 seconds respectively.
ASTON MARTIN LAGONDA
If you´ve got big bucks and want to own a rare car, there are only 100 Lagonda´s being produced at €400,000 a pop. (And reportedly only sold in the Middle East – so you´ll have to fork out the airfare to get it here too!) This will be a classic piece of machinery though as Aston Martin is reviving the Lagonda brand, which was its most popular car back in 1976. All the latest modern technology has been applied to this rebrand including carbon fibre bodywork and LED lights. With a rumoured 6 litre V-12 engine making 600 horse power this will be a car to be reckoned with.
BMW i8
Be mean and green with the updated BMW plug-in electric hybrid sports car, the i8. The March update includes new options for improved interior styling, additional standard equipment and inclusion in its Pure Impulse Experience Program. The launch coincides with updated international services for i8 and i3 users. Dubbed the 360° Electric program, owners may now participate in things like Charge Now, an expanding charging and payment service with fast-charge stations supporting international roaming.
ONE TO WATCH
BENTLEY BENTAYAGA
This is definitely the biggest car release of 2016. The new Bentley Bentayaga will be redefining the SUV category, previously dominated by Range Rover and Porsche. It´s been a long time coming with rumours of its release dating back to 2012. It´s not as pleasing on the eye as other SUV types but it will grow on you. It will be one of the most expensive in the SUV category but it will ooze luxury and elegance.
