They say ‘they only do it for the money’ but this is not the case this month.
A whole host of pop stars have come together to record the Simon & Garfunkel hit ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ – the brainchild of music mogul Simon Cowell – to raise money for the victims of Grenfell Tower.
Rita Ora, Robbie Williams, Bastille, Craig David, Stormzy, Skepta, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Kelly Jones, Emile Sande, Pixie Lott, Ella Ayre, James Arthur, James Blunt and Louisa Johnson have all taken time out of their schedules to take part in the single and promote it worldwide. And for all you doubters out there, 100% of the money raised is going to the charity.
At the time of going to press 85 deaths have been confirmed at the Grenfell Tower fire. The tragedy occurred at 1am on June 14 and flames engulfed the entire building made of unsafe cladding within 30 minutes. It is predicted that there were no survivors passed floor 20. The death toll is expected to reach well over 100.
