This has to be the most emotional and hard-hitting film in the trilogy of the ‘Planet of the Apes’ franchise. The primate versus human story continues ten years since the release of the Simian virus that has almost wiped out the human race on earth. Caesar, leader of the apes, and his civilization of genetically advanced apes have taken over the world and are beginning to grow and spread over the earth.
A small group of humans that survived the deadly virus are discovered and a wary peace has been made between the two groups. The peace unfortunately has no chance of surviving as the two groups inevitably head for the conflict that will eventually determine who controls the future of the planet.
A not-to-be-missed film from the Oscar-winning visual effects team that produced ‘Avatar’ and ‘Lord of the Rings.’ The team have broken new ground with this epic film, creating a CGI ape that delivers an incredible performance that will have many viewers reaching for the Kleenex. Talented Brit actor Andy Serkis reprises his role as Cesar with panache.
