Demi Lovato is safe, well and on the road to recovery at an undisclosed rehabilitation centre, after being released from Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, where she was being treated after an opiod overdose on July 24th.
The alarm was sounded by Demi’s friend who asked the paramedics not to play sirens as they arrived at Demi’s residence, in an attempt to cover up the overdose. Demi’s life was apparently saved with the controversial anti-overdose reversal drug Narcan before she was taken to hospital and treated until she entered rehab.
Having just celebrated her 26th birthday she recently took to Instagram to thank her fans for their continued support. “I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well. To my fans I am forever grateful for all of your love and support this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time.”
It is believed she will spend at least 3 months in rehab before being allowed to leave and resume here music career. Our thoughts are with you Demi.
