Nestled in the buzzy main strip of San Pedro de Alcantara you’ll find C’est La Vie, a beautiful little gem of a restaurant, featuring at least 8 different varieties of international cuisine.
The restaurant boasts traditional French, Italian, Belgium, Mexican, Greek, Indian, Lebanese, Jamaican and Spanish dishes. While you may think such a wide-ranging menu will have you stumped for choice, think again. Diners can sample various starter ‘tasting plates’ to try a famed dish from each region.
Marbella Rocks recommends the C’est La Vie sharing plate, which comes with gazpacho, tikka marinated chicken skewers, crispy shrimps, chicken fingers, mini wagyu beef burgers, Lebanase falafel, halloumi cheese and Iberico ham. Topped off with salad, parmesan shavings and a range of enticing dips. There’s also a mini burger and veggie platter. Designed for 2 people but we’d say easily could cater for 4.
So what else can you expect on the extensive menu. Some of the most popular dishes are chargrilled Kobe beef burger and chicken breast with goat cheese wrapped in crispy bacon.
C’est La Vie restaurant owners, the warm and friendly husband and wife team, Dennis and Natalia Broberg recommended we try Chargrilled Solomillo, which comes with a gorgeous mushroom infused sauce. The fillet steak was cooked to perfection literally melting in your mouth. We also sampled the Jamaican Wrap with mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, lettuce and homemade cesar dressing which was outstanding bursting with spices and flavour. You can choose between chicken or prawn.
Not only does C’est La Vie cater for every type of discerning tastebud, it also caters for every type of customer, young and old, couples, groups or families. There is such a mix of people here.
Further touches include an extensive wine list and a dessert menu featuring crepes, brownies, cheesecake and fondant-filled muffins in a range of flavours including white chocolate and mango.
If you like a bit of live entertainment with your dinner, the restaurant also plays host to the talented 80’s singer K-Miss every Wednesday and live saxophone player Quincy every Saturday night.
It’s also great for people watching, as you’re right in the hub of San Pedro on the Avenida de Las Palmeras, only a 5 minute drive from Puerto Banus. The main street gets busy but not overcrowded in summer so you can enjoy a fun and lively dining experience.
C’est La Vie also offers a breakfast menu from 10am and lunch menu from midday where you can order off the main menu or pick the Menu del Dia and a glass of wine for just €9.90.
A dinner for 2 is very reasonable costing around the €80 mark for a starter, main course, dessert and a bottle of wine.
