Surrey Fashion Week (SFW) was co-founded by celebrity cover journalist/TV producer Angela Sara West and editor of Surrey Rocks Magazine, Sam Matthews.

Launched in 2021 with Surrey’s very own Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and her pro model husband Max Rogers – a ‘Britain’s Top Model’ judge. The glitzy red-carpet celebrity runway shows have since seen BBC ‘Strictly’ stars open the show, two-time ‘Strictly’ champ Oti Mabuse – currently a contestant down under in ‘The Jungle’ – on front row, and BRIT Award-winning S Club 7 star Jo O’Meara headline launching new music.

SFW’s diverse and inclusive runways have also been graced by Hollywood stars, Bollywood stars, Surrey soap stars and EMMY-winning teen actors.

Surrey Fashion Week’s star-studded concept shows provide a platform to showcase the very best of Surrey fashion and more, supporting local businesses by not only providing them with a catwalk to showcase, but also with a pop-up space to retail right alongside the runway.

Our SFW24 brands include newly launched upcycled brand, Skinner & Vale set up by Surrey gals Debs and Sam, House of Afrika (who were highly commended at the glamorous Surrey Awards this year), Haute Couture milliner Mizi Atelier (with her TOP HATS!) recently relaunched Story Clothing, Ellu Amour with their beautiful mix of fashion, accessories and more. The fabulous House of Poochie lifestyle brand for both people AND their pooches. And Surrey Award winner 2024 Howard & Co. Attire with their sharp suits.

We would like to thank our sponsors: Dima Vodka, Daniel’s Contractors and Fabulously Festive. Along with the music, fashion and fabulous shopping, SFW is also about charity. As the regulars among you know, the Surrey Fashion Week team is passionate about fundraising for good causes including Cancer Research UK (the world’s leading cancer research charity) The Royal Marsden in Sutton, where Angela’s husband is being treated and Prevent Breast Cancer, for which breast cancer survivor Victoria Ekanoye and her mum are patrons, determined to help the charity’s mission to prevent the disease for future generations and Triple C.

With all three co-founders hugely affected by cancer – Angela’s husband was diagnosed with acute leukemia this year and her father has had cancer three times, Sam’s father is suffering with prostate cancer, while Angela’s Triple C co-founder Donia is a three-time cancer survivor.

And now onto Ukraine, a matter close to our hearts, with the war still raging. The British-Ukrainian Women’s Business Association (BUBWA) is the first innovative bridge of cultural and business diplomacy between the UK and Ukraine and one of our charities and supporters. And John’s Red Bus, set up by John Parker, undertake humanitarian missions to Ukraine, 28 in total since inception. A great charity and initiative. We are lucky to know John closely and he also modelled and did a speech at SFW24 and has offered himself up for “A Date With John” to raise funds for the SFW24 Silent Auction – visit www.jumblebee.co.uk/surreyfashionweekcharityauction2024 to bid on some great prizes donated by Mizi Atelier, J’Adore, Surinder among others.
