Sonora Beach, winner of the coveted Marbella Award for Best Chiringuito, is moving locations and doubling in size to accommodate its growing clientele. The new look Sonora will be on Urbanisation Los Granados Playa, a mere 80m east of the original site with better access and parking.
Francisco Guillen, one of the most renowned architects on the coast, is behind this project, which will have an 11m high roof with wooden beams and a 150m2 roofed space surrounded by a glass curtain, that can be closed for the autumn/winter season plus a 200m2 terrace and decking.
Keeping Sonora’s genuine laid-back vibe, the group are extending and improving their gastronomic offer, thanks to a better infrastructure. The new look Sonora is due for completion by June 2017 and will open for 10 months of the year year, from March till December.
