Boka is situated in the Plaza de Las Palmeras, right in the heart of Sotogrande Port. If you are looking for a fine dining experience set in a perfect location, then this has to be one of the best restaurants in Sotogrande.
The stunning French fusion cuisine served at Boka is well deserved of its Michelen Star.
The menu is incredibly varied and you can sample anything from scallops, foie gras, steak tartar to pasta, risotto and a fantastic selection of fish. Recommendations include the Wagyu Beef, Suckling Pig, Ravioli with Shrimps and the Cod is exquisite. The tasting menu is also a great option if you are undecided on what to go for.
It’s also great for the additional touches. The Lemon Sorbet Amuse Bouche or Tomato Jelly Horseradish and Pork Foam are just some of the palate cleansers served in addition to your main meal at no extra charge. Unexpected but well received.
Another plus point for Boka is the modern and stylish fuschia and black themed décor. You can tell as soon as you walk into the restaurant that it is of a different class with interesting pieces of high-spec art adorning the walls alongside a cavernous wine fridge and tables laid to perfection.
The husband and wife team of French chef Jerome and his beautiful wife Haby own and run this restaurant and are both on hand to make sure things are running to an impeccable standard every night.
Marbella Rocks recommends booking early as Boka gets very busy in the summer and if you prefer al Fresco dining, request so on booking, to get the best and most coveted seats overlooking the Plaza.
Although if you miss out, dining in the main restaurant has its advantages too as guests can look out over the beautiful beaches of neighbouring Torreguadiaro.
You must try this out. A much needed addition to Sotogrande’s dining offerings.
