This month, DJ Colin Francis and Jermaine J-Funk – founders of Unique Parties with events now in Dubai, Ibiza, London and of course Marbella, tell all in our exclusive Interview.
How did the party start?
Five years ago we were tired of going to the same boring parties in Marbella and wanted to create something fresh and exciting. Unique parties was born.
Why is your party the one to go to?
We have the best DJ’s and the best crowds. The atmosphere is second to none!
Who are your celebrity attendees?
We have so many…. Rihanna, Drake, Trey Songz, Scott Disick. But they just come to party like everyone else.
What’s everyone wearing?
Whatever is in and looks good!!
What’s everyone drinking?
Champagne plus the odd magnum of Vodka and a few Jagerbombs.
What your anthem of the summer so far?
Second City – ‘I Wanna Feel’
What’s your summer album recommendation?
Ministry of Sound’s “Marbella Sessions 2014” mixed by DJ Colin Francis of course! Last year it was the highest selling summer album and this year it looks set to be bigger than ever.

Rick Ross and a few more we won’t mention yet….
Do you hold after parties? If so where?
We do after-parties at Sleek Thursday & Friday and at Aqwa Mist on Saturday & Sunday from 11pm to 6am.

LoveJuice owner George Mensah reveals all about how his sell-out party nights came to arrive in Marbella.
How did the party start?
The Parties started in 2010 when I decided we needed to expand the brand beyond London and Essex. We started to create a Bank Holiday buzz with pool parties at Sala Beach which quickly made LoveJuice
become ‘The Saturday’ to go when in Marbella on Spray Weekends. Now we have progressed to the rooftop of Sisu Boutique Hotel, bringing a new dimension to Marbella day partying.
Why is your party the one to go to?
Our parties are about having fun, with cutting edge feel-good music. That remains wherever we throw our events, with a particular attention to attracting a gorgeous crowd.
I think our consistency to do this makes us popular.
Who are your celebrity attendees?
Marbella breeds famous faces, we’ve had Tinie Tempah, Katie Price, Mark Wright, the entire Towie cast, Made In Chelsea cast, and an array of top end footballers.
What’s everyone wearing?
In Marbella its designer central. At our rooftop parties it’s luxury swimwear, Gucci, Olebar Brown, Louis Vuitton, Vilebrequin, Victorias secret. At night expect to see Zanotti, Louboutin, Dior, YSL – everyone
looks their best.
What’s everyone drinking?
Bottle culture is massive for LoveJuice, so it’s LPR champagne, Dom Perignon, Crystal, as well as Grey Goose, Belverdere and a good old Jagerbomb.
What’s your summer anthem most likely to hear?
This year I predict Oliver Heldens ‘Gecko’ or Oliver $ and Jimi Jules ‘Pushin On’.

Yeah we have big acts planned, in the past we have had MK, Disclosure, Rick Ross, Laidback Luke and more so keep your eyes peeled online!
Do you hold after parties?
Yeah the after party for LoveJuice in 2014 will be held at Aqwa Mist from midnight.
Why Marbella?
It made sense, our target market suited an exclusive and convenient location, where we could bring all our elements from the UK into a forever summer atmosphere. I knew we would be able to create a bigger
brand awareness, making everyone feel the love, taste the juice.
