I have always loved chokers, especially with sparkling rhinestones or velvet and lace. They look so elegant and sexy. Whatever the outfit, a choker just adds that finishing touch.
I decided it was time to give the choker a new, modern look – and to make it a little more jazzy. Feathers were an obvious choice for me. I was inspired by an experience in Mijas, where I saw over 50 pigeons of every colour you could imagine – pinks, yellows, blues, greens – so vibrant and magical. It was the most beautiful sight I had witnessed. That was 10 years ago and I’ve never seen or experienced the colourful pigeons again but the image stayed with me.
I started buying feathers, the best coming from America; then rhinestones, diamonds and lace, from India, England and here in Spain. I was thrilled at how well the combinations worked and how beautiful the feathers looked around the neckline and also on the arms.
It’s hard work but I love it, especially when anyone wearing one of my beautiful and sensual feather chokers tells me how glamorous and confident it makes them feel.
So dare to be different.
